A retirement reception for Priscilla Grew, director of the University of Nebraska State Museum, is 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 19 at Morrill Hall.

In Grew’s 22 years of service to UNL, she has served as vice chancellor for research, professor of earth and atmospheric sciences, and museum director. Grew’s leadership led to the museum’s reaccreditation by the American Alliance of Museums in 2009 and being named a Smithsonian Affiliate in 2014. She also spearheaded several fundraising efforts.

The reception is free and open to the campus community and public.
