Inside the Gaughan Center

OASIS and the Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center will host a week of events March 9-12 in celebration of the center’s five years at UNL.

The first event will be an ice cream social from 1-5 p.m. March 9 in the Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center’s lobby.

The rest of the week’s events are as follows:

  • On March 9, there will be a showing of “Cesar Chavez” at 6 p.m. in the center’s Unity Room.

  • On March 10, there will be a keynote speech by Buffy Smith at 4 p.m. in the Ubuntu Room.

  • On March 11, there will be a student digital poster session from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the center’s Unity Room.

  • On March 12, there will be a ‘Dine, Dialogue, and Pass It On!’ event from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the center’s Unity Room. The goal of the program is to encourage dialogue about race, diversity and inclusion and to help faculty and staff develop skills to facilitate these discussions. Register here.
