French culture week activities open April 5-8

French Culture Week at UNL is April 5-8. Organized by the French Club, events include an art exhibition at the Sheldon Museum of Art with tours in French and English.

The tours will show a variety of the exhibits at the Sheldon and how they pertain to French culture, as well as show a special French exhibit that celebrates France’s national month of poetry.

Tour hours are: 3 to 5 p.m. April 5; 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 6; 3 to 5 p.m. April 7; and noon to 2 p.m. April 8.

The French/Francophone Club will also be holding a bake sale from 10 a.m. to noon April 4-5 at the Nebraska Union to promote and raise money for its activities.

There will be an open house reception from 4 to 5 p.m. April 8 at the Sheldon where scholarship recipients will be announced. Following the reception, the guests will be invited to view a French film in the auditorium.

All of the activities are free and open to the public.
