Because of the likelihood of severe weather this afternoon and evening (June 3), Jazz in June organizers have announced that the concert has been canceled.

The 23rd year of the outdoor concert series was to have to kicked off at 7 p.m. on the west side of the Sheldon Museum of Art.

Evening in Brazil, a bossa nova jazz group that plays selections by Brazilian Composers as well as others whose bodies of work showcase the regional rhythms of Brazil, was to be this season’s opening concert.
