City considers bike share program

The City of Lincoln will hold a public meeting on the creation of a community bike share program from 5 to 6 p.m. Sept. 18 in the City Council chambers, 555 S. 10th St., Room 112.

For the last six months, the city, UNL students and administration, and community leaders have discussed a community bike share program. The public meeting will include a presentation on bike share programs by Kären Haley, executive director at the Indianapolis Cultural Trail.

The city also seeks additional community input on a bike share program. A survey and interactive map are available online.
