Campus Recreation is offering tips and instruction on how to prepare healthy meals in a new Wellness Kitchen.

The kitchen is part of the Recreation and Wellness Center, a $23 million Campus Recreation facility that opened in summer 2016 on East Campus. The kitchen provides a variety of classes that offer simple recipes for wellness or nutrition solutions. The classes are open to students, faculty and staff.

“The purpose of the Wellness Kitchen is to teach people how to create enjoyable recipes that are easy to make,” said Amanda Robine, wellness services and nutrition education coordinator. “These are family-friendly recipes that you can make in a short amount of time and are really nutritious.”

A recent course that featured a recipe for a spa-like hand scrub is featured in the video above. For more information on the Wellness Kitchen at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, click here.
