Although no cases of monkeypox have been identified on campus, the university community should be aware that the virus has resulted in a national declaration of a public health emergency.

To help inform the community, the University Health Center is providing details about the virus via a one-stop, online resource. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to review the site to learn about monkeypox and, if needed, take action to stay safe.

Instructors, students and staff should be aware that individuals who are infected must isolate anywhere from two to four weeks and will miss a large percentage of the fall semester.
