‘Taste of Things’ opens at the Ross

Director Trân Anh Hùng won Best Director at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival for “The Taste of Things,” and the movie is opening at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center Feb. 23.

Continuing are the 2024 Oscar Shorts.

Set in France in 1889, “The Taste of Things” follows the life of Dodin Bouffant as a chef living with his personal cook and lover Eugénie. They share a long history of gastronomy and love, but Eugénie refuses to marry Dodin, so the food lover decides to do something he has never done before: cook for her.

The film is rated PG-13 and is showing through March 7.
