Student networking mixer is April 11

A new study by UNL's Jeffrey Smith shows that diversity in the U.S. population is changing the face of social networks. The study was published in the June edition of the American Sociological Review.

A presentation to help students with networking skills is April 11 at the Wick Alumni Center.

The Graduate and Professional Student Assembly is providing an evening event to help students learn and practice how to network. The event is 4 p.m. April 11 at the Wick Alumni Center.

Participants must register online by April 6 to participate.

The event will include a presentation by Career Services. Topics include strategic networking, relationship building and how to build your story. Participating students will also have the opportunity to practice their networking skills.

Free hors d’oeuvres will be available.
