The University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Sheldon Museum of Art will be closed July 24 through Aug. 10 for the installation of energy-efficient LED lighting and new exhibitions.

During that time, Sheldon will offer a walking tour of some of City Campus’ outdoor sculptures at 12:15 p.m. July 27. The 30-minute tour will begin at the sculpture “Greenpoint” by Richard Serra, north of Love Library, and will end near the museum, where a work by Yinka Shonibare is being installed.

With the opening of fall exhibitions on Aug. 11, Sheldon will begin new hours. The museum will be open free to the public seven days a week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.
