Works of art by 20 University of Nebraska–Lincoln students are featured in “Nebraska Touring,” a new exhibition traveling to communities across the state.

The exhibition, curated by the School of Art, Art History and Design, is on display at the Warren Opera House in Friend through June 29. A closing reception is 5 to 8 p.m. June 29. Each closing reception is free and open to the public.

Other host sites include:

  • Prairie Arts Center, North Platte, July 3-28. Closing reception 5 to 8 p.m. July 28; and

  • Studio K, Grand Island, July 31 to Aug. 26. Closing reception 5 to 8 p.m. Aug. 26.

“We have works from all areas in our school represented in this touring exhibition,” said Robert Derr, director of art, art history and design. “It represents a vast array of creativity and investigation.”

Due to space limitations, not every student will have artwork at each venue. Participating students are: Keith Buswell, Madeline Christensen, Hanna Demma, Allison Diesing, Sam Hardewig, Bryon Hartley, Sheree Haynie, Katharen Hedges, Michael Johnson, Wansoo Kim, Kayla Linden, Luis Martinez, Ricardo Rodriguez, Megan Rook, Skyler Simpson, Carlos Velasco, Erik White, Kristin Wilson, Stephanie Wright and Rana Young.
