In preparation for the 2021 Nebraska Annual Social Indicators Survey, the Bureau of Sociological Research is inviting researchers to add questions relevant to their own research objectives to the survey.

The Nebraska Annual Social Indicators Survey is a mail survey of around 1,000 Nebraska adults. It has been conducted since 1977 and is recognized by researchers, state agencies and legislators as a scientific way to measure public opinion and behaviors regarding various issues that face Nebraskans.

The Bureau of Sociological Research works with researchers to develop and include survey items that best suit their needs and interests. The survey represents a cost-effective way to obtain survey data. The expense for obtaining basic demographic information such as age, sex, family and employment is shared by all participating researchers. Costs for the upcoming survey are estimated to be $7,500 per page.

Those interested or who have questions may contact Amanda Ganshert. The Nebraska Annual Social Indicators Survey website has further information about the survey.

Data collection is scheduled to begin July with client data delivered by November. In order to meet these deadlines, the Bureau of Sociological Research is encouraging prospective clients to initiate discussions as soon as possible but no later than May 1.
