Public relations students launch hope campaign

COVID-19 has disrupted our world and many are experiencing anxiety, loneliness and frustration due to social isolation.

In response to global challenges caused by COVID10 and the 2019 novel coronavirus, the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Public Relations Student Society of America has launched a digital campaign to help build a united and positive community.

The #SpreadHopeNotFear campaign goal is to encourage others to stay social and supportive to combat the negative and frustrating content we see each day.

To participate in the campaign, individuals are asked to post hopeful messages in Instagram and Twitter using the hashtag #SpreadHopeNotFear and tagging @unlprssa. Individuals can also submit positive, optimistic messages and posts through an online form.

The club is a recognized student organization in the College of Journalism and Mass Communication. The club’s mission is to provide exceptional service to their members by enhancing education, broadening professional networks and helping launch careers after graduation.
