The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Department of Textiles, Merchandising and Fashion Design is hosting a panel discussion on its historic costume collection titled “Teaching From The Collections” at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 16 in the Home Economics Building, Room 31.

The “Teaching from the Collections” panel will include Mary Alice Casto, Sandra Starkey, Claire Nicholas, Michael Burton and Molly McPherson, and moderator Kylin Jensen. Panelists will address the many ways that the collections are used in the context of the department’s curriculum.

The panel is inspired by Jensen’s dissertation work examining the use of the collection in teaching.
