New faculty evaluation guidelines approved

Revisions to faculty evaluation guidelines have been approved by the Faculty Senate and were accepted by the Chancellor on December 5, 2023.

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln's faculty evaluation guidelines have been revised and published on the Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor's website. They have been approved by the Faculty Senate and were accepted by Chancellor Rodney D. Bennett on Dec. 5.

The revised guidelines will be in effect beginning with the 2024-2025 promotion and/or tenure cycle and spring 2025 annual evaluations. Prior to those dates, the previous guidelines, dated Dec. 4, should be used.

Revisions were researched and proposed by a Faculty Evaluation Guidelines Update Committee and reviewed with input from the Faculty Senate and Deans' Council (Executive Vice Chancellor-Leadership Council).
