A new NET documentary will take viewers across the state to see how barn quilts are preserving history, commemorating families, and promoting small town pride and patriotism.

A new NET documentary will showcase how barn quilts are preserving history, commemorating families and promoting small town pride and patriotism across Nebraska.

The program, “Patchwork on the Plains: Nebraska’s Barn Quilt Culture,” premieres at 7 p.m. March 9 on NET. Through the show, viewers will travel across the state to meet the people behind these colorfully painted quilts and hear how the art inspires Nebraska.

The show make stops in or near Pender, Elmwood, Murdock, Friend, Shickley, Ohiowa, Ong, Clay Center, Superior, Beatrice, Odell, Cozad, Eustis, Brownville, Wilber, DeWitt and Lincoln.
