The University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s second annual Sustainability Summit is 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Sept. 5 in the Nebraska Union Auditorium.

Organized by the Nebraska’s Office of Sustainability, the summit is designed to educate students about the university’s current sustainability initiatives; provide networking opportunities that allow Huskers to build green initiatives; and learn about different ways students can live sustainably at the university.

Light refreshments will be served. All participants will receive a free reusable water bottle and bag.

The tentative schedule includes:

3:30 to 4 p.m. — Current Status of Nebraska Sustainability Initiatives.

4 to 4:45 p.m. — “How Does Climate Change Impact Nebraska?,” Don Wilhite, emeritus professor of natural resources. Final 15 minutes are reserved for a question and answer session.

4:55 to 5:30 p.m. — Panel discussion, “How to Live a Sustainable Life at Nebraska,” with Shelby Janke, Brittni McGuire, Nash Leaf, Luke Anderson and Lee Harris.
