Mueller Planetarium at the University of Nebraska State Museum in Morrill Hall will light up with laser light shows in October.

Laser graphics and abstract images will fill Nebraska’s first fulldome digital projection theater in separate Halloween and rock shows. Guests are welcome to come dressed in their family-friendly costumes.

The schedule of shows:

  • Oct. 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 18 and 24, 7 and 8 p.m. – Family Halloween Laser Spooktacular (40 minutes). Get ready to mash with monsters in a spellbinding sing-along featuring classic Halloween titles such as “Monster Mash,” “Ghostbusters” and “Purple People Eater,” along with a sprinkling of crowd-pleasing current pop and rock songs.

  • Oct. 3, 4, 10 and 11, 9 p.m. – “Pink Floyd: The Best of Echoes” (43 minutes - not suitable for children). Embark on an out-of-body experience as lasers visually interpret Pink Floyd’s greatest hits. Drift weightlessly among haunting laser landscapes and 3-D laser renderings as you experience such classics as “Money,” “High Hopes” and “One of These Days…” like never before.

  • Oct. 17, 18 and 24, 9 p.m. – “Classic Rock Laser Show” (47 minutes). Enjoy a pure sensory adrenaline rush with a collection of classic rock hits set to laser lights by Bob Segar, Eric Clapton, Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and more.

Morrill Hall is one block south of 14th and Vine streets on the UNL City Campus.

Evening show admission is $6 for non-member adults and $5 for non-member children (all ages); $5 for Friends of the Museum members (with ID card). Tickets will be sold on a first-come first-served basis the day of the show at the front desk in Morrill Hall.
