The hit musical “Mamma Mia!,” based on the songs of ABBA, returns to the Lied Center for Performing Arts at 7:30 p.m. March 3, 2 and 7:30 p.m. March 4 and 2 p.m. March 5.

Tickets are on sale here, by phone at 402-472-4747 or at the Lied Center box office, 301 N. 12th St. Students can purchase tickets at a 50 percent discount with a valid NCard.

“This long-running musical is the ultimate feel-good Broadway show,” said Bill Stephan, executive director of the Lied Center. “We are pleased to have this high-energy production on our stage once again during its farewell tour.”

“Mamma Mia!” is one of the most successful musicals of all time, the eighth longest-running show in Broadway history and one of only five current musicals to have run for more than 10 years on Broadway. The West End production is now in its 17th year. The international tour has visited more than 81 foreign cities in 37 countries.

Inspired by the storytelling magic of ABBA’s songs from “Dancing Queen” and “S.O.S.” to “Money, Money, Money” and “Take a Chance on Me,” “Mamma Mia!” is a celebration of mothers and daughters, old friends and new family found. More than 54 million people worldwide have fallen in love with the characters, the story and the music. ABBA’s timeless songs propel this enchanting tale of love, laughter and friendship.

The Lied Center performances are sponsored by KLKN-TV and patron friends Ron and Vicki Biloff.
