Lecture series to explore natural decorating

Nebraska Statewide Arboretum

Bob Henrickson of the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum is giving a presentation on natural decorating as a part of the brown-bag series noon to 1 p.m. Dec. 1 in Keim Hall, Room 150.

This presentation will show how plants can be cut and arranged for indoor use or outside displays. Henrickson has been creating seasonal arrangements for years and will have beautiful photos and ideas for dramatic displays. He will show decorative seedheads and pods of wild plants, gathered from fields and along Nebraska’s roadsides.

The presentation will also be available online, along with a PDF of information.

This is part of a brown-bag series on “all things green” sponsored by the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum, university of Nebraska-Lincoln Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources; Department of Agronomy and Horticulture; and Garden Friends and Friends of Maxwell Arboretum.

Those attending are invited to bring their lunch, ideas and questions. For more information, call the Arboretum at 402-472-2971, email @arboretum@unl.edu or click here.
