Constitutional law profs to debate First Amendment issues

Constitution Day

In observance of Constitution Day, two professors from the University of Nebraska’s College of Law will discuss free speech and demonstration on college campuses at 3:30 to 5 p.m. Sept. 18 at the Nebraska Union.

Eric Berger, associate dean for faculty and professor of Law, will join Richard F. Duncan, Sherman S. Welpton, Jr. Professor of Law and Warren R. Wise Professor of Law, to examine personal rights and freedom of expression the college environment. The discussion is free and open to the public.

This event is sponsored by ASUN Student Government, the Center for Civic Engagement, the College of Journalism and Mass Communication, the College of Law, Institutional Equity and Compliance, the LGBTQA+ Resource Center, the Office of Academic Support and Intercultural Services and the Women’s Center.
