Athletic trainers, physicians, nurses, speech-language pathologists and other health professionals can learn about concussion assessment and treatment options during a symposium from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. July 17 in West Memorial Stadium.

The Concussion Assessment and Management Symposium will provide an overview of current concussion research in a variety of clinical disciplines and will emphasize the utility of interdisciplinary care in treatment. It will also focus on practical application and provide multiple case presentations.

The event includes tours of the Center for Brain, Biology and Behavior, the Nebraska Athletic Performance Lab and Nebraska Athletic Medicine.

Online registration is closed, but walk-in registrations will be accepted based on space availability.

The symposium is co-hosted by CB3, Nebraska Athletics, the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s Center for Continuing Education and the Brain Injury Alliance.
