Hundreds attended the first East Campus Discovery Days and Farmers Market in 2021. The event featured hands-on, science-focused activities, live music and multiple vendors.

The Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources is seeking campus partners to participate in the second season of East Campus Discovery Days and Farmers Market.

The events will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on June 11, July 9 and Aug. 13. Each will feature fresh produce and handmade goods from area farmers and artisans, live music, food trucks, and family activities.

“Hosting a farmers market on East Campus has been an incredible addition to our summer event line-up,” said Jessie Brophy, director of external engagement for the institute. “We were thrilled with the turnout the event received last year, and we look forward to growing this event and continuing to connect our campus to the surrounding community.”

All university departments, units and organizations are invited to participate in one or more Discovery Days. Those who are interested in hosting a booth, demonstration, tour or other activity can submit an online form.

More information on East Campus Discovery Days and Farmers Market is available online, with more information to be added as vendors and activities are finalized. For additional information, contact Brophy at jbrophy3@unl.edu.
