Define American at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln will be hosting its annual banquet in honor of Juan N. Franco at 7 p.m. April 29.

As university students, we understand the great importance of quality higher education. Unfortunately, many undocumented and the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) students are unable to access state and federal financial aid that makes a university education attainable. The Juan N. Franco Legacy Scholarship provides some financial assistance to all students, regardless of status, so they can make their educational dreams come true. The proceeds from this banquet will go to the Juan N. Franco Legacy Scholarship. This event is highly important as it’s the largest fundraiser our organization hosts to raise funds for the scholarship.

The scholarship is vital for our recipients’ place here at the university.

Individual tickets for the banquet are $20.
