Experts in the Field of Workplace Bullying

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is home to leading researchers who have studied bullying in the workplace as well as in school settings.

Bio

Professor Kathy Krone is an organizational communication scholar whose research highlights how organizational structures enable or constrain members’ participation and voice. She co-authored a 2015 article on workplace bullying that named article of the year by Management Communication Quarterly. The study examined how victims of workplace bullying described their experiences, providing important insights about how co-workers can help a target withstand bullying.

Bio

Swearer, a professor of educational psychology, has studied bullying behaviors among school-aged youth. As founder of the Empowerment Initiatve, which supports translational research to develop bullying solutions, she has also fielded questions about workplace bullying.
