Bio
A. Christal Sheppard, an assistant professor of law, holds a Ph.D. in cellular and molecular biology from the University of Michigan and a law degree from Cornell University. She is expert in intellectual property law and property. She is former chief counsel on patents and trademarks for the Judiciary Committee of the U.S. House of Representatives. Since joining the University of Nebraska College of Law in 2011, she has testified before the House Judiciary Committee on international patent issues and has been quoted by the Wall Street Journal, Dow Jones News Wire, Fox Business Nes, the Chicago Sun Times and Politico on a variety of intellectual property issues.
