Nettie the horse has its nose scratched by Sami Lange (center), a rodeo team member, and Juliet Traver (left) and Maggie Gessner on April 29.

The Nebraska Rodeo Team offered Huskers a chance to get up close to their horses and even go for a ride. The event, which filled the space northwest of the Nebraska Union, helped promote the Nebraska Cornhusker College Rodeo, which is May 3-4 at Sandhills Global Event Center, 3100 N. 84th St.
